Silver Jewellery Intermediate – Nature Theme Moulds and Textures

  • The Sidmouth Craft Hub 38 Mill Street Sidmouth, England, EX10 8DF United Kingdom (map)

Moulds and textures are a wonderful feature of fine silver jewellery. In this Intermediate Silver Jewellery Class, you will learn how to make moulds and textures to create your very own stunning pieces of jewellery. This class could be booked to follow on from the morning session as it develop the nature theme and making your own moulds and textures.

Ideally, anyone booking into this Class will already have taken a Beginners Class or have some experience of working with metal clay.  You may like to make the most of your day by coming to the Beginners Class that will take place this morning.  This morning’s class will flow nicely into this afternoon’s Intermediate class.

We are delighted to have Naomi Brookes, a talented local silversmith to come and share her knowledge, skills and passion for jewellery with us.

Silver Clay is a versatile material that offers limitless possibilities for shaping and moulding.  In this Class, you will learn how to make and use nature-themed textures and moulds from everyday materials.  We will then use these to make beautiful items of jewellery.

Please bring any items to the Class that you want to use in this process, such as shells, flowers, leaves, fossils, fruit etc.   Naomi will bring a supply of items too.  If you want to make an object, such as a shell, into a necklace, the shell should be a maximum of 1.5cm x 1.5cm

The price of the Class includes 7g of silver clay, a chain for your pendant and ear wires for your earrings (if making).  This is enough to make two to three pieces depending on size and moulding compound.

All materials and refreshments will be provided.
